About the Channel    |    Ginger Chalford Metraux

A person who enables another being to speak through them is called a medium or "channel".  Ginger Chalford Metraux is the channel for Galexis.

Ginger was born in Tennessee to strongly religious parents.  Deeply spiritual and rebellious by nature, she began her journey of self-discovery far from Tennessee and the Christian way.  Ginger spent her youth and middle years studying and practicing:

  • Surat Shabd Yoga (Yoga of the Divine Sound Current)
  • Fasting and high-vibration diets
  • Naturopathy and nutrition Transactional analysis (TA)
  • Art (commercial and illustrative)
  • Music (both classical and pop, performing and writing)
  • NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) \
  • The MariEL and Quantum Touch Healing Systems
  • Spiritualism and the occult
  • Applied/psychological kinesiology
  • Shamanism

In January 1980, Ginger began attending Lazaris workshops. There, she learned about the psyche and her spiritual journey in detail and experienced tremendous healing and personal development. She applied what she learned with Lazaris and through her own personal spiritual work with her clients in a very busy and highly successful astrology practice. She became recognized as a prominent national astrologer for several years, and was invited to speak as a faculty member at SEAC, AFA, and NCGR conferences. She is the author of two astrological books, The Inner Personalities of the Chart, a study of Transactional Analysis and Astrology, and Pluto, Planet of Magic and Power, a look into the nature of personal transformation as symbolized by (the now non-planet) Pluto.

Besides her astrology practice, Ginger also developed a reputation as a highly talented and effective spiritual counselor. Using powerful transformational techniques from the vast range of spiritual and psychological methods she’d learned, Ginger coached clients for over fourteen years to change and heal their lives. During this time, Ginger received her doctorate from Excelsior College (previously Walden University) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her doctoral case study was on the effects of emotional and personal change on visual acuity.

While channeling Galexis, Ginger began to notice that her psychic skills were improving. So she developed an ability in medical intuition and energy healing. She also studied with a renowned medical intuitive and shaman from Russia, Dr. Gregory Antyuhin, at his Modern Day Mystery School in Boca Raton Florida. Ginger has given and received innumerable psychic healings using Lazaris’ and Dr. Gregory’s methods, plus techniques learned in workshops on Incan shamanism, Quantum Touch, Access, Plant Spirit Medicine, and much more. With health problems that came up, she also learned about nutrition in depth. In the early 1990’s, she found a special mineral product that helped her health immensely. So Ginger then decided to educate others about minerals and this product. Due to her efforts, thousands of people around the country now routinely take a wide range of minerals as part of their nutritional program.

Ginger’s love of writing and desire to share the useful spiritual and personal information she had learned led her to create newsletters. She sent them out free to her network of spiritual friends as a voluntary service. She also volunteered as the editor of the local Native Plant Society newsletter as well as serving as president of the organization. Her mission was to enlighten people about the vital role that native plants play in the local ecosystem.

When the channeling work became too busy, Ginger retired from her volunteer efforts. However, her interests still include writing, shamanic or mystical spiritual experience, and being in nature. Currently, Ginger is co-writing a book with Galexis.

Ginger’s husband, Daniel Metraux, manages the business for Galexis and Ginger. When they aren’t on the road traveling in their RV, they reside in Topanga, California.
