You Chose Your Family

When you decided to incarnate on earth, you chose what family you would be born into. You picked parents, siblings and situations for three basic reasons:

    * You simply wanted this experience

    * It would be an opportunity for much growth and evolution, and

    * You may have had contracts or unfinished business stemming from other lifetimes.

Your relationships with your family members, especially mother and father, are usually the most rewarding, but also the most challenging ones you will encounter on your earthly sojourn. Although there may be much love present in these relationships, woundings can also go very deep. Your greatest lessons - limitations as well as strengths - were created and developed with your experiences around family.

Your parents did the best job they could raising you and relating to you considering what they knew, believed, or could manage in their lives.  Like anyone, they lived within the limitations they learned from their families. It does no one, especially you, any good to hold grudges and angers about how you were, or were not, raised.

Do not wallow in this negative energy and blame your parents for remaining life issues or struggles. Instead, proceed directly to healing!
