How to Download an mp3 File

For Windows Based Devices

You can always listen to the sound file by clicking on it. That means that if you wish to listen to it in the future, you need to keep the email with the link to the file.
I case you wish to download it to your computer; you need to do the following:
1. Right click on the link. A dialog box will appear. Click on the option: “Save link as…”
2. Another dialog box appears where you can select the location and file name you wish to assign to this file. If you have many Galexis sound files, you may wish to create a folder in your “My Documents” folder called “Galexis” or whatever you wish to call it.
3. Anytime to want to listen to that file, simply go to the folder you created and click on that file.

For Apple Based Devices

All Apple based devices use iTunes to listen to sound files. You will need to download the file and then drag it into iTunes.
1. Press “Ctrl” and your mouse button simultaneously; this emulates the “right-click” gesture on a Windows computer and a menu of options will appear.
2. Click “Save File As” from the menu options. Select a folder in which to save the file and click “Save.”
3. Launch iTunes by clicking on the “iTunes” icon from your Mac’s Dock.
4. Open the folder in which you saved the MP3 file by double-clicking on its name in the Finder. At this point, you should have both the iTunes window and the folder window open.
5. Click on the name of the mp3 file and then drag it into the iTunes window. You will see a dialog box near the top of the window showing the status of the file transfer. When the dialog box closes, your mp3 file will be accessible in iTunes.
If you wish to have your mp3 file on an iPhone, you will need to sync your phone to your computer.
There a three free Cloud service that you can use to play the mp3 sound file on your iPhone. You will need to install the apps from the iOS App Store. They are Google Play Music, Amazon Music and Dropbox.
If you do not want to sync your iPhone to your iMac, you and use a program called “Bridge” from Cydia to import media to your media library right from your iPhone.
