Great Products

Here are a lot of suggestions about the probiotics that you will want to research for whatever form of IBS/SIBO you may have, as well as general suggestions for good gut health.

Donna Gates, BodyEcology.com
Fortunately, a few brave souls pioneered the importance of the gut. One of these is Donna Gate. She created coconut kefir, popularized cultured veggies, i.e. using specific strains of fermentation, rather than allowing fermentation by the air. She brought stevia as a sweetener to the US. She calls herself “the Fairy Godmother of Gut Health” as the whole gut movement actually started with her.

Her student, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, is famous for creating the GAPS diet, a takeoff on the Body Ecology Diet that Donna originally formulated. Donna’s education on gut health in general is profound. Although she has probiotics and more on her site, I recommend her site for many great gut related products as well as for her in-depth health education. You’ll be able to strengthen and fortify your gut into greater health! So check out everything on her website http://www.BodyEcology.com

Dr. Richard Schulze http://www.herbdoc.com
Dr. Schulze’s focus is detoxing and cleaning out the gut, liver and gallbladder, and more as well as building immunity against viruses and other pathogens you might be exposed to. He is the protégé of a famous herbalist, Dr. John Christopher, and has taken that traditional work into the 21st Century.
If you want a “colonic in a bottle” you’ll get his Intestinal Formula #1 and #2. If you have constipation, #1 will get your bowels moving and bring out lots of amazing junk. See pictures of colon and intestine debris on his website – disgusting but impressive! And if you have relentless diarrhea, you might want to try Dr. Schulze’s Intestinal formula #2 – it has clay and other agents designed to pull out parasites and clean up the whole tract. When I got diarrhea from food poisoning about 20 years ago, I used this and really cleaned myself up! I lost my belly fat then too.
Dr. Schulze also has great cold and flu remedies. Most have cayenne pepper in them to stimulate motility and get you clear of those baddies fast.

Products for SIBO/IBS
Dr. Hawrelak’s List of recommended Priobiotics
Several of the speakers on the SIBO/IBS summit recommended various supplements. One of them is a specialist on probiotics. Dr Josh Hawrelak is a San Diego doc who recommends probiotics especially suited for certain forms of IBS. Check out his list at; https://sibosurvivor.com/best-probiotics-sibo/
There are some great items in here, especially the VSL#3 which seems to reverse IBS in a lot of people. http://www.vsl3.com will have more on this product since Hawrelak’s list refers you to Amazon which has little or no info on the product. You’ll find products on this list specifically for the IBS diarrhea form and also for the IBS constipation form. Note that some products help with intestinal motility and others may target the diarrhea, such as the Doctor’s Best 2 billion that sounds like almost a miracle!

Besides what is on Hawrelak’s list, I recommend the following;

Saccharomyces Boulardii
Saccharomyces Boulardii is specifically recommended for what a stool test revealed that I have; Blastocystic hominis, a nasty parasite. But as I did research on the web about it, I found that it alone works for all kinds of bowel issues and helps with the IBS/SIBO.
But it works well in combinations with other good guys. A recent research test has shown that probiotics that include S. Boulardii and three others, Bifidobacterium Lactis, Lactobacillum Acidophilus, and L. Plantarum decreased IBS symptoms in over 70% of sufferers in all groups (IBS-d, C, and M). I found that S. Boulardii
There are several sources for this and is easy to find. I have two supplements of this, one called Sacardi. Find it at (https://www.healthaidamerica.com/sacarditm.html) It needs to be refrigerated and is pretty potent.

Recently, I also got a Jarrow product labelled Saccaromyces Boulardii + MOS. I got it online at Vitamin Shoppe, but you can find it on Amazon and other places. My body likes the Jarrow product when I muscle test, but I’ve just started it. If you look around, you’ll discover that many other products for IBS/SIBO will have multiple strains of probiotics including the Sacc B.

Atrantil
This product takes care of a lot of gut issues and reduces gas and bloating. I have appreciated how it keeps the gut calm while simultaneously reducing methane gas produced by the baddies in the gut. Check out Atrantil at; https://atrantil.com/

Liposomal Probiotic (L. Rhamnosus) from PuraTHRIVE at https://purathrive.com/liposomal-probiotic/
Rhamnosus is a Strain of Good Bacteria Linked With Enhanced Gut Health & Immune Function. It is an antimicrobial, anti-pathogen, and anti-bacterial compound that enables all your probiotics to thrive. It also includes lactoferrin, which is an iron-binding protein found in milk. This product comes in 3 large syringes with 30 doses you squeeze out one at a time for 30 days. As of writing this, I have been taking it for only a little more than a week and found a significant improvement in my gut function. Similarly, my husband found a significant improvement too in just a week’s time. So this starts showing up quickly. Many probiotics take weeks to “show.”

Probiotic bacteria that are known to work well
Various agents for IBS are found in many formulas. You’ll find Rhamnosus, Reuteri, Subtilis, and Plantarum, which should show up on supplements in the mix. I tried Infantis but it made me worse, and is not recommended for SIBO, so I wouldn’t recommend a formula with that in it.
